The Big Draw 2012: Drawing Landscape Journeys

Do you always want to run across the fields and beaches you see in paintings or trace the skyline from your window with a pencil? Join in and help us create an enormous movable drawing inspired by the landscapes in our collection.
The Big Draw is the world's biggest celebration of drawing, a month-long festival running throughout October all across the UK. Joining in this year's theme 2012 in Lines, the Gallery will be using the power of the humble line to explore landscapes and cityscapes.

Your creation will be photographed throughout the day and turned into an animated journey through the drawn landscape.

We'll also be making small books in which you can record your journey from the Gallery. Take a photograph of it once you get home and we will add it to our online journeys exhibition!
