Knit a Scare Face – Knitting for Beginners and Advanced Guerilla Knitters

Learn to knit with the LUU knitting society in the Gallery, or take part in the guerrilla knitting art action in the Parkinson Court. Knitted monsters and landscapes inspired by Aubrey Beardsley’s world of the grotesque will pop up in unexpected places. Bring your yarn and needles and of course your own monsters, sockpuppets or knitted critters. Take pictures of them lurking in the Parkinson Court and they might end up in our Beardsley-inspired artist booklet! Art action led by Rachael Moore and Alice Rix of Knit a Bearface, Leeds! Critters remaining on the scene after the event will be donated to charity.
Free, drop-in event, suitable for beginner and advanced knitters and monsters.
