Artist Talk and Portfolio Critique with Drew Millward

Leeds-based artist illustrator Drew Millward is fast becoming an international name in contemporary illustration for his unique designs - drawn the 'old-fashioned way' with pencil and ink. Drew began his career illustrating gig posters for his friends, and his quirky but compelling style was soon picked up by big name bands such as Sonic Youth and Flight of the Conchords, as well as clothing lines and tattooists.

In association with our current exhibition, Drew will be giving a talk at the Gallery about his experiences as a working contemporary illustrator. This will be followed by an open portfolio critique for up-and-coming illustrators to discuss and get advice about their own work from Drew.

Free event, no booking necessary.
