Preparing work for public presentation with Caroline Hick
When- 26th May 6, 2010 Time- 6pm-9pm Where- Factory4 Workshop, Sheepscar
This session will cover the basics of things to consider when preparing work for public presentation.
In addition to the practical aspects, such as what height to hang work and different types of framing, Caroline will also explore considerations in presenting work dependant on context, i.e. 2D, installation, bookworks, web-based, collaborative, group shows, gallery and non-gallery spaces.
This class will be perfect for anyone that wants to represent themselves in the public domain whether it is markets, exhibitions, print or web this session will definitely prepare you putting your work out there.
Caroline Hick started as Fellow in Visual Arts at the University of Bradford in March 2009. She brings her skills in curatorial practice to the programming of exciting exhibitions, events and projects on campus from September 2009.
Caroline has contributed greatly to the development of arts provision in the region, through her work with South Square Gallery, MULTI-, FABRIC, Vibe and The Delius Centre.
Her work portfolio over the last five years reflects her commitment to and passion for developing spaces for the visual arts to be experienced and viewed. She believes wholeheartedly in working in partnership with artists, audiences and organisations to make connections that can be developed or opened out to a wider audience.
She has a background in Printmaking and has just completed an MA in Visual Arts at Bradford School of Arts and Media.
