CALL FOR ENTRIES FLOURISH AWARD YORKSHIRE PRINTMAKER OF THE YEAR 2012

West Yorkshire Print Workshop are pleased to announce that after previous years' success of the Flourish Printmaking Award, we have decided to build on this and enlarge the award to also include non-members’ work from across the Yorkshire region.

The award was established in 2009 to celebrate and promote excellence in printmaking from WYPW members. This is an exciting development and allows WYPW to champion and showcase the best printmaking from practitioners across Yorkshire. It will provide Yorkshire artists and printmakers the opportunity to exhibit their work at the WYPW Gallery and go on to plan their own solo print exhibition at Huddersfield Art Gallery in 2013 as part of the prizes awarded to the winner.

Artists and Printmakers can submit up to three printed works for the Flourish Award exhibition to be held at WYPW in October 2012. There will be a fee of £20 to enter Flourish 2012 for non-WYPW members. Entry is free for WYPW members.

From the 1st June you can register online and upload images for selection by our panel. If your work is selected from this process you will be invited to include your work in the Flourish Award exhibition. During the exhibition our selection panel will choose a winner from the work on display for each of two categories; the two awards being presented this year are the coveted Flourish Award Yorkshire Printmaker of the Year and the Flourish Award Yorkshire Emerging Printmaker of the Year.
