Schools on Strike!: Strike Workshop with Sarah Prescott

Saturday, 24 September 2011, 1-4pm

Informal, hands-on and fun workshop in connection with our Special Display commemorating the 1911 Leeds School Strike.

How to pick your battle? How to stick it to the man? How to come up with the best slogan?

Catch the campaign-bug and learn about the past and present of educational strikes and industrial action in an interactive discussion and workshop facilitated by Sarah Prescott and her guests.

The workshop will provide plenty of inspiration and fun resources to learn about political activism, make a plan of action, as well as badges, slogans and banners for your cause — whether imaginary or real!
