Dave’s work is interactive; time based visual art in public, private and virtual spaces. His work is projected from moving vehicles, onto buildings and has been broadcast on the BBC and cable channels.

Dave is interested in the use of expanded cinema, interactive installation and devices as a means for social change. His work seeks to explores the human interdependent relationship to technology, space and collective identity.

Dave is co-founder of EXP 24, a Leeds-based not-for-profit film collective, founded in 2006. As well as making and screening experimental film and video, EXP 24 are dedicated to creating a space where people can share ideas, be inspired and learn how to create and screen film themselves.

Dave is co-director of The Jam Jar Collective Ltd, which creates interactive digital installations such as Friispray, a virtual, digital graffiti wall based on ubiquitous and open-source technologies.

Collaboration is core to Dave’s practice and it is informed by the contrasting range of people, clients and projects he works with.

Collaborators include: musicians, DJs, music producers, web designers, programmers, sculptors, designers and illustrators.

Clients include: Smirnoff, Pampero Rum, Arts Council England, Leeds City Council, Creative Partnerships, Channel 4, Opera North and L’Oreal.
