cyclops Mirrors and Windows: Literary Exploration by John Wedgwood Clarke

Saturday, 19 March 2011, 1.30-4pm

Words are not windows, but we like to look through them. "Show, don't tell" is the usual adage of the creative writing workshop --but what happens when words are set free both to make and distort the illusion of vision? This is what this creative writing workshop will be exploring, leading participants through a poetic hall of mirrors and windows in connection with current exhibition 'Virtually Real'.

John W. Clarke, Dphil, AGSMD (Professional Acting) is a writer, editor and university lecturer, Director of Beverley Literature Festival/Bridlington Poetry Festival.

Free workshop, but places are limited, so please book your place in advance by e-mailing Zsuzsanna Reed Papp (libzmp@leeds.ac.uk) or by phone (0113) 34 32777.
