New Young Leeds 2012 call for submissions

New Young Leeds is a curatorial collective based in Leeds that looks to promote and support the unestablished artists that are working in and around the city. We believe that grassroots promotion of the arts is integral to its progression and existence, especially in light of the current problems facing artists.

After the success of last year we are back with another show and we are looking for more of the same. We want to uncover more aspiring artists in Leeds. Anything goes we want photography, sculpture, painting, videos and everything in between. Our only guidelines are that you are an aspiring artist and that you have a connection with Leeds.

The deadline for submissions is 1st of June

To submit work please send photo documentation of a single work, no more then 3 .jpeg photos, or the appropriate file typre if film or sound, 2 short written statements, one describing the work and the other should be a personal statement, no more then 250 words each, and the dimensions of work to newyoungleeds@hotmail.co.uk. Also it is important that you include your full name and contact details, e.g. address, phone number and/or email address.
