‘Hey, teachers! Leave them kids alone!’: Richard O’Neill’s Storytelling Afternoon
In connection with our Special Display commemorating the 1911 Leeds School Strike, Richard O’Neill storyteller will be with us to tell stories about schools way back in time... His vivid and wonderful stories of school life then and now are inspired by his youth growing up in a tough part of the North East in the 1970's and his present-day journeys to hundreds of schools all over England.
As Richard says 'without teachers you wouldn't be able to read these words'… Celebrating the solidarity of the pupils back in 1911, their wonderful legacy, and the many positive aspects of teachers and schools throughout the years, he will be performing his magical school stories on the last Saturday before the school year starts.
The performance is suitable for all ages, all welcome.
Richard O’Neill is a professional storyteller, teaching storytelling skills and performing in over 100 schools a year.
Free event, all welcome. No booking necessary.Find us at
