From Nothing to Something.
Man is a sculpture created by Paul Digby which will be on display in the Hybrid show at the Sheffield Institute of Art and Design in February 2010 and the Thackray Museum from March - July 2010. The process of making the sculpture using the materials Styrofoam, plaster, resin and paint will be discussed in Paul's talk.
Jim Garrets (Senior Curator The Thackray Museum)
The Thackray Museum: Fit for Display?
Jim Garretts will discuss the historic and contemporary artwork that exists in the museum at present. He will address the potential for contemporary artists whose work has a particular relevance for the work that they do to exhibit at the museum.
