Saltaire Inspired (Bradford, UK) are looking for an Events Coordinator - Closing Date: 31 August 2012
Saltaire Inspired, a non-profit CIC, is looking to hire a freelance, part-time Events Coordinator for their three annual events:
* The Living Advent Calendar (Dec)
* Makers' Fair Festival Special (Sept)
* The Saltaire Arts Trail (May) - the main event & jewel in Saltaire Inspired's crown!
Specific tasks with estimate of start dates for 2012-2013:
• Arranging venues for the Living Advent calendar (LAC) display - Sept/ early Oct
• Deadline for final choices (LAC) – mid/late Oct
• Seeking sponsorship for marketing materials: for LAC event – Sept/Oct
• Initiating the process for the 2013 Saltaire Arts Trail (SAT) – late Sept/Oct
• Building relationships with our key supporters – late Sept/Oct
• Arrange first SAT committee meetings for Oct
• Start seeking sponsorships for marketing materials - Oct/Nov
General tasks/responsibilities:
• Liaising with relevant volunteers
• Liaison with Saltaire Festival committee where appropriate
• Liaison with Saltaire residents and businesses
• Arranging publicity materials in liaison with marketing/committee
• Publicity through web media in run up to events
• Ensuring Sept event is used as publicity for the SAT and LAC events; ensuring the LAC also publicises SAT 2013
Contract Period
This will be a fixed term, freelance contract, with the successful candidate ideally beginning in mid-September and terminating in June/July, although we are willing to be flexible for the right person. The successful candidate will be expected to work hours as appropriate to ensure effective delivery, anticipated to vary during the course of the contract but average 25 hours per week. This role will include evening and weekend work.
The position is self-employed, and the person appointed will acknowledge that (s)he is responsible for his/her own taxes, and that no employment rights will derive from the contract.
Contract Fee
£10,000 for the agreed fixed period.
