rendeer PYSSLA – Scandinavian Christmas Crafts

Merry Christmas everyone! Inspired by the wonderful paper cut-out style of Kay Nielsen at our current exhibition 'Fancy and Imagination: Aubrey Beardsley and the Book Illustrators' the Gallery is organising a Scandinavian craft session.

'Pyssla’ is Swedish for ‘doing stuff’, pottering, busying ourselves, crafting and doodling, which may be difficult to translate to English, but we all get the pyssla bug before Christmas here in Leeds too!
Join Linette to learn how to make tomtar (Swedish Christmas elves), and other traditional decorations this Saturday. You can recycle your old Christmas cards to make ornaments and sweet cones and prepare for the festivities in true Scandinavian style.

Free activity, suitable for all ages. Please book your places at gallery@leeds.ac.uk or call 0113 343 2778
