ORNATE ART FOR EYE AND SPIRIT

A new exhibition of Islamic art is now on show at Batley Library. Six paintings by Sajeda Hussain will be displayed throughout October and November at the library, bringing a splash of colour to combat the winter gloom!

The collection includes original ‘embellished’ paintings by young Heckmondwike artist Sajeda Hussain. Her distinctive modern style draws on a variety of traditions including Punk-style deconstruction, Islamic calligraphy and intense abstract colour combinations.
All of the work on display is for sale.
