The Big Draw 2013: Drawing Through the Ages

Time travel through the ages of drawing in our themed workshop! Part of the Big Draw 2013 celebrations.

Jump into our time travel machine as The Stanley and Audrey Burton Gallery celebrate The Big Draw 2013, with an exploration of drawing through the ages.

Come and join us for a fantastic adventure, time travelling through the ages of drawing. Try your hand at different drawing styles, from the time-honoured traditional to the wacky and far out. Attend an art class from the mid 1800's, take a leaf out of John Sell Cotman's sketchbook, and look into a crystal ball as we predict the future of drawing.

With a range of drawing stations for all the family there will be something for everyone to get their imaginations working and their pencils moving! Drawing explorers young and old are welcome to come and stop off at any of the stations, to learn drawing techniques used by great masters, contemporary artists and each other...
