Open 10.30- 4.30
‘The Art Trade’ is the fourth project organised by Breathing Space. It explores exchange, currency and the economics of the art market. Set in Leeds Kirkgate market, Europe’s biggest indoor market it gives the public a chance to buy artwork for artwork.
How it works:
1. Select a piece of Art you would like to swap
2. Make your own artwork with the materials provided
3. Exchange artworks
4. The artwork you have made will be cut in half
5. Half will be given in payment to the artist and the other half will be kept by the gallery
