Hi,
The WEA ( Workers Education Authority), are now doing teacher training courses -PTLLS ( preparring to teach in the life long learning sector).
The Workers’ Educational Association will provide the following courses starting in February 2013.

Are you teaching/tutoring or training, or do you wish to become a teacher in the Lifelong Learning Sector (i.e. adult and community education, the voluntary sector or work-based learning), but do not have a qualification? Then, providing you are sufficiently qualified or experienced in the subject you intend to teach, this threshold teaching qualification is where you need to start.

1) teaching roles and responsibilities
2) approaches to teaching and learning
3) planning teaching sessions
4) developing and practicing teaching skills
5) assessing learning

Fees: Total fee is £325.00
Registration with NCFE £50.00
Tuition Fee £275.00

Tuition fee is free for those in receipt of a means tested benefit, but the NCFE Registration Fee does have to be paid by all students.

To apply for an application form please contact Janet Pepper on 0114 242 3609 email: jpepper@wea.org.uk,
