Elizabeth Price (2012 Turner Prize Winner) 20/06 Leeds College of Art

Leeds College of Art would like to invite you to the next Creative Networks event with 2012 Turner Prize winner artist Elizabeth Price. Price will talk about her creative journey and process plus more recent accolades such as winning the Turner Prize and the Paul Hamlyn ‘Awards for Artists Programme’.

Price’s practice explores art and design objects, social history artefacts, archives and administrative paraphernalia. Price creates art works, using existing archives and collections, and from which she develops new narratives and taxonomies. This work usually incorporates a diverse range of media including photography, high definition video, live action, motion graphics, animation and sound.

Creative Networks is Leeds College of Art's major events programme with talks from a diverse group of high profile speakers from across the creative industries to entertain, challenge and make us think.

We would like you to join us from 6pm at our Blenheim Walk building on Thursday 20th June for drinks. Prior to the talk there will be goods on sale from two fantastic local independent art and design related bookstores Village and Colours May Vary.

Plus for one night only will have the team from ‘The Pop up Booth’ bringing an art themed photo booth into College. At 7pm Elizabeth will start her talk followed by an opportunity for questions and answers.

There is a £5 refundable deposit required to confirm your place but this will be refunded the day after the event once attendance has been noted.
