13th International Contemporary Artists' Book Fair
Friday, 12 March, 2010, 11-6pm and Saturday, 13 March, 2010, 10-5pm
Parkinson Court, The University of Leeds
The Contemporary Artists' Book Fair presents unique and multiple book works by artists, imprints and publishers from around the world. An accompanying programme of related exhibitions, films and presentations includes:
Beyond Content, a selection of books from the Brotherton Library Special Collections, which have acquired, by means of addition or excision, a serendipitous material uniqueness beyond their texts and original form
101, video works each 101 seconds in duration by artists, the AMB group, whose practices encompass the moving image and artists' books
Cabinet of Curiosities, an interactive exhibition of new relational book works by the international online Artist Book Collective
Micro-Pages, an exhibition presented on micro-fiche of artists’ responses to issues of accessibility and handling of book works
Merzbarn, an illustrated talk by Littoral Arts Trust on their artist book and sculpture projects related to Kurt Schwitters' Merzbarn
Free admission to the fair and events. A fully illustrated catalogue is available.
